ZEPTOOTS ZEM Series Scanning Electron Microscope | Study on Microstructural Characteristics and Fracture Behavior of Magnetic Pole Screws in Industrial Synchronous Motor Rotors
Industrial motors are evolving toward higher power density, higher rotational speeds, and greater sustainability, which subjects the rotor magnetic pole screws used to secure permanent magnets in synchronous motors to enormous mechanical stress. To ensure motor stability and electromagnetic performance under high-speed operation, the screws must possess both extremely high wear resistance and fatigue resistance. Traditional thread manufacturing processes mainly fall into two categories: mechanical cutting and roll forming. While cutting offers significant advantages in dimensional accuracy, its efficiency in producing slender shaft threads is relatively low. In contrast, the cold rolling process, with its high production efficiency and strengthened gradient microstructure, can significantly enhance the surface hardness and strength of threads, thereby meeting the stringent performance requirements for fasteners under complex operating conditions.

Advanced Science | ZEPTOOLS DMD Maskless Aligner Helps Create High-Quality Crystalline Magnetic Microradial Structures
In traditional tiled lattice structures, simple magnetic ordering configurations typically exhibit collinear spin arrangements, primarily driven by Heisenberg exchange interactions. However, with the rapid advancement of micro/nanofabrication technologies, low-dimensional curved geometries capable of breaking spatial inversion symmetry have attracted significant research interest. This curvature effect, combined with the spontaneous breaking of time-reversal symmetry in magnetic materials, can induce non-collinear spin textures such as magnetic vortices, hopfions, and skyrmions. These complex magnetic structures show great potential for fundamental physics research and the development of next-generation high-density non-volatile memories and spintronic devices. Researchers have explored various magnetic configurations on curved surfaces, aiming to leverage geometric design to achieve topological magnetism and chiral magnetic states, thereby opening new pathways for the design of novel electronic materials.
